Tara Robinson

Hello, my name is Tara Robinson and I am a fully qualified Birth and Postpartum Doula with an ingrained passion to support and empower women and their families through their pregnancies, Births and postpartum periods.

I am Mammy to three children and my passion for all things birth related was ignited 12 years ago when I became pregnant with my first little girl and deepened even further with the pregnancies and births of her younger brothers. On my own journey into motherhood, I went through the usual ups and downs and know first-hand how much having the right kind of support can transform your experience in the best possible way. I know that each and every family is unique and has its own unique needs and requirements. I tailor my support for each family based on how best I can support you, whether that is with antenatal education, discussing pain relief options, support during your labour, or in the early postpartum days. Helping with siblings, overnight care, cooking your family a nourishing meal or just being a good listener or shoulder to cry on, and to talk through your concerns offering non-judgmental, practical information and support.

I am a firm believer in the old saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ In our busy, sometimes modern lives it can be hard for people to find the time for such community support. I want to put the ‘village’ or support back into the experience of motherhood, for my clients to feel confident, empowered, supported and at ease during some of the most important and shaping times of their lives.

During my own pregnancy’s I began to educate myself on physiological birth I became truly amazed at the remarkable abilities of the mother’s body. I have deep understanding and passion for physiological birth and the truly amazing things that a woman’s body instinctively knows how to do given the best opportunity. I was blessed to have an amazing support team with me during my births and am loving being able to offer that same love and support back to other mothers.
