Hi I am Keara. I live in Wicklow with my husband and two girls. I used to travel all over the world for work as an engineering geologist prior to having kids. However, I think becoming a mother changes you. I know I have definitely changed as a person and it took me some time to figure out my new identity as a mother.

Since training and working as a postpartum doula I have found a new zest for life. I have become so passionate about everything pregnancy, birth and postpartum. It is such an honour to enter into a family’s life at such a precious time to support, nurture and empower them through their new journey. I am a firm believer that the fourth trimester is a time to slow down, recover and be present with your baby. Those first few months go by so quickly and it shouldn’t be spent worrying.  I aim to help ease all the worry and anxiety new parents can sometimes carry.

I can help with feeding support both breast and bottle fed (feeding cues, positions, winding techniques), help with siblings, meal preparation and light housework. I can look after baby while you shower, nap or get out for a walk. I can hold space for you to share your experiences or even just to talk about poo colour or texture 😉. I will work with you to figure out how best I can support you.

I am a also certified infant massage instructor with the IAIM.

I have trained with The Baby Reflux Lady working with parents to resolve their baby’s reflux. I carry out holistic assessments looking at baby’s history, symptoms and behaviours and provide an action plan to parents.

I am currently training with Sophie Messager to become a closing the bones practitioner.

I am adventurous, compassionate and a great listener. I love to run, sea dip and most of all I love to connect with people.
