My name is Amandine FitzGerald, originally from France, I’ve been living in Ireland for almost 10 years now. Mum of 3 children, aged 12, 10, and 7.
I have been working in childcare for over 10 years, I’m a qualified early childhood educator QQI 5, and qualified post partum Doula.
When I had my first child, Alannah, my neighbour, from Africa was always bringing me food and making sure I was fine, and my baby was fine too. She was horirfied to see how isolated new mums were in European countries. She had planted a seed in my mind!
I had my 3 children, and some friends around me, and this idea of supporting new parents grew.
I took the course to become a Doula last year, and loved it. I am so eager to help new parents during this period of adaptation in becoming a family, or a bigger family!

Skills & Interests:

Baby wearing
Baby massages
Sewing (baby wipes, menstruation pads…)
Cooking (I’m French after all! I bake a lot, and love discovering new recipes, sweet and savory) I’m also adept of batch cooking, and could cook you some lovely dinners you could pop back in the oven, without the prep, or the washing up to do.
Always up for a chat and a cup of tea
I’m a zumba addict!
