Hi, I’m Louise, a mom of two. I became hugely interested in supporting women during their postpartum period after my own personal experience.
I adored becoming a mother but found the transition incredibly difficult and felt like there was little support or understanding. I can clearly remember the people who congratulated me but also acknowledged how difficult it can be. I want to be one of these people. I am passionate about normalising these feelings and supporting mothers and their family as they navigate early parenthood.

When I was pregnant with my second child I put a huge amount of work into my birth and postpartum period. I wanted to ensure I gave myself and my family the best possible start. I completed my gentle birth training, planned for postpartum and hired a doula for our birth as I was planning a VBAC (Vaginal birth after ceasaran).

Through this pregnancy and birth, I fell in love with birth and how amazing women are and our capabilities. This led me to train with Doulacare Ireland as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I want to support mothers and their families to have a positive birth, whatever that looks like to them, where they feel in control of their birth experience and heard. Beginning motherhood fully supported, physically and emotionally.
I truly feel that it is a privilege to be invited into this space and support families at this incredible time.
