Hi, I am Rita, a trained professional doula who provides non-judgemental support of family choices during pregnancy, birth and new born stage. Very passionate about advocating for women and their babies. “Many people think about happier elements of bringing life into the world, which is no doubt a huge bonus of the role of a doula”. Completed my studies at international doula institute, PA USA. I have a deeper desire to assist labouring mothers achieve a positive outcome of pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatally.

My main goal is to support women through all phases of childbirth. Understand and recognise the profound nature of pregnancy, birth and postpartum period. To create intimate environment for the mother and family. Hands on support and comfort measures such as water therapy, massage, position change, heating pads therapy and cool wash, using the peanut ball and birth ball to aid descent of the baby and also ensure no medication intervention as much as possible. Give evidence-based information to help advocate and assist client and family make an informed decision related to their birth.
Another important role and goals are to nurturing parents into their new role, in difficult times, days and weeks after birth.
Finally assist parents develop the concept of themselves as parents as they continue the transformation in their new stage of life.
