Hello, my name is Fiona and I live in Co Mayo with my husband and four children.  I previously worked in childcare and had a Montessori school for a number of years.  In 2017, when our youngest child started school, I decided to go back to college and in 2020, I graduated with a BA (HONS) Degree in Early Childhood Studies.

I was still unsure what path I would take at this stage.  It was a conversation with my sister that sparked the idea of helping women and their families in the postpartum period.  In 2021, I trained as a Postpartum doula and finally found the role I had being waiting for.  I am so lucky to work with families at such an amazing time in their lives.  It is truly a pleasure to help them navigate the postpartum period.

After having four babies, I know how important support is in the postpartum period.  Just imagine what it would be like to set yourself up to have everything you need plus a little more during the postpartum period.  To have meals cooked for you, someone taking care of the everyday household tasks, entertaining older children in the house, to have the time to shower and get some extra rest.  This is what I do as a postpartum doula.  I offer emotional, informational and practical support to families.
