Project Description
Óisín Schots

I am a mother of two wild and wonderful children, and have always had a love for working with families. Since the birth of my first child I have volunteered as breastfeeding and pregnancy support locally, and discovered first-hand the incredible difference a doula could make in a birth experience with the birth of my second child.
I trained as a birth and postpartum doula with BirthBliss Academy and continued my training by becoming an Evidence Based Birth pro member, as well as certifying in childbirth education. I believe that ensuring information is accessible to parents is the key to them being able to make informed decisions about their birth experience.
I have worked with many women through their anxieties regarding birth and the early days after their baby arrives and I am passionate about being able to support expecting and new mothers in whatever way they feel important to them.
I offer a free initial meet up to chat about what you are looking for and what I have to offer as a doula. In the current global climate this can also be done over the phone or video chat. In order to ensure that your family and my own are safe during these times, I have also taken additional trainings in PPE, community transmission and hand hygiene.
